Frequently Asked Questions about Blue Sub No. 6
Hello. Every once in a blue moon, I recieve an e-mail or two. Often, they ask a simple question, and even more often, it's the same questions over and over again. I don't always get a chance to reply to people, so here are the answers to the most asked questions about the show. Enjoy.
Who wrote the poem that the small child is reciting to Zorndyke on hte beach? And where can I find the whole thing?
I am asked this quite often, and honestly, I have no idea. As far as I know, it's written by the shows script writers, and only exists within the show. It may also be a famous piece of literature, one that I have not heard or read before. If anyone does know, please contact me. I'd be interested to find out myself.
Can you put up more pictures of Verg?
Hmmm... Not right now. I haven't been finding too many sources for images lately, and I can't capture images since I've switched to DVD. I do plan on getting the BS6 art book, but I haven't the money at the moment. (It's also tough to locate.) Not only that, but this is a geocities account, and getting pictures uploaded is not an easy task, nor is it reliable. I hesitate to put a huge amount of images on the site because of it may go down any day. I made this page as a labor of love for the show, and right now it will stay as it is with occasional updates. If I manage to find a good reliable and free service for hosting pages like mine, I'd gladly upload more pictures.
What are the differences between the cartoon network version and the unedited one?
Yikes, this question I can't answer fully since I have not watched the cartoon network version. I don't enjoy dubs, and I hate censorship, so I haven't really watched more than a few minutes of any anime on cartoon network. I can confirm that the blood has been removed, and scenes with Hayami smoking have been edited. You can check out this page for a review of the Toonami DVD. I would not reccomend this version, when I saw/bought blue sub and made this page, I had no idea it would be on TV. If you enjoyed it on television, pick up the individual disc. You can get them for about 12 bucks each at some retailers online, which really isn't that bad. If you don't really care about the show but want to see what a watered down version is like, I guess you can get the Toonami discs. (No pun intended.)
I downloaded Blue Sub 6 as a movie file, do you want a copy?
No. That's piracy, and it's just wrong. All of the anime I own I paid for and is legitimate, not a hong kong bootleg either. Don't bother me with crap like this.
Can you put a link to my page on your site?
Maybe. If you've asked me once and I haven't linked you yet, it's probably because I'm lazy, and haven't updated in so long. Send another e-mail and I'll try to update the link page.
